Outreach Consultation Services

Neam Clinic’s Outreach Consultation services are provided by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The objective of consultation is to provide families, caregivers, Learning Support Assistants (LSAs), teachers and other professionals with expert guidance and support to enhance a child's development both in home programs, school and in the community.

Our Outreach Consultation services include:

Comprehensive Assessment with the Outreach Consultant

A 1-5 day in-depth assessment with our BCBA outreach consultant evaluates the child’s strengths and areas of need using established frameworks such as the Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment & Placement Program (VB-MAPP, Sundberg, 2008) and the Essential For Living Assessment & Curriculum Guide (McGreevy et al., 2012). This comprehensive assessment is an ideal service for individuals seeking an evaluation who may not be enrolled with Neam Clinic, as well as for families needing guidance in establishing a home or school-based program for their child. The assessment sets the foundation for success by providing a detailed report with goals and specific teaching strategies. It can take place onsite or offsite and includes a determination of the teaching methods that best facilitate your child’s skill acquisition. Additionally, it offers hands-on coaching for parents, caregivers, Learning Support Assistants (LSAs), teachers, and other professionals involved in the child’s development.

Problem behavior that includes self-injury or behavior that interferes with learning will receive priority attention during the assessment.

A final written report and documents outlining the individualised goals and teaching strategies will be sent out within two weeks of the final assessment day.

Consultation Visits

Neam Clinic offers Consultation Visits, where our experienced BCBA visits your home, school or community to provide expert guidance and support. This service is ideal for parents, home program instructors, Learning Support Assistants (LSAs), teachers and other caregivers who need assistance developing and supervising a home or school-based program.

Consultation visits are provided on an as-needed basis, allowing parents and caregivers the flexibility to book as many visits as necessary to ensure the program is being implemented effectively. During these visits, our BCBA offers hands-on coaching, monitors progress, and provides actionable feedback to ensure your child’s program is running smoothly and producing positive results.

Whether you’re in the process of developing a new home program or need additional supervision and support for an existing program in your child’s home or school, our Consultation Visits offer valuable, customized guidance to ensure that your child’s needs are being met with the highest level of care and attention.

Program Review & Second Opinion

If you believe that your child is not making the progress you would expect within their current educational/ treatment program, allow us to offer you a second opinion. This service is tailored for those seeking a thorough professional review of your child’s current ABA program, Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP), or Individualized Education Plan (IEP) as developed by another service provider or entity. The aim of this review is to assess the suitability of your child’s current program objectives and teaching methods and to offer further recommendations or modifications to ensure that the plan is effective, aligned with best practices, and tailored to your child’s current needs.

Hiring Assistance

For families seeking additional support, we provide expert assistance in hiring a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) or home tutor. Our BCBA Outreach Consultant helps guide the recruitment process, ensuring the right fit for your child’s needs and the family’s goals. This service involves the clinic helping to identify a suitable therapist for the family to directly hire, with the therapist being sponsored by the family (or the family’s visa, rather than the clinic’s visa).

At Neam Clinic, our Outreach Consultation services are designed to empower families and professionals with the tools and knowledge needed to support the child’s growth. Through collaborative, hands-on coaching and expert advice, we help ensure your child receives the best possible care and opportunities for success.
